Three costumes commissioned for a ‘Giant Chinese Whispers’ game at 'Loud Tate' at the Tate Britain. The theme this year was ‘Transmute’. The Cassette was armed with a cassette recorder, microphone and headphones and played back the last recorded whisper from the cassette player and then recorded what the participant thought they had heard (the new whisper). People then wrote on the Clipboard’s sheets of ‘paper’ what they had just said to the tape for a written record of the whispers. The Speech Bubble was there to make us think a bit.
